Wonderful for starting conversations about animals and their amazing adaptations. Why do different animals have such unique noses, tails and feet? This is one of those beautiful books that you can share as a "picture walk" with very young children (the illustrations are award winning), or you can really go into the text with older kids. Also available as a read-along.

This is a very good biology book with fun facts for children. My 6 year old granddaughter was especially excited to tell everyone that crickets have ears on their knees.
