Saga is a pure Sci Fi Fantasy graphic novel through and through. It's narration and ridiculous imagery are oddly charming even if it tries a bit to hard sometimes. But the real flaw in my opinion is that there's no translation when Wreaths are speaking their fictional native language. For example: I didn't understand a single word when Marko was having a flashback of his father, Barr, teaching him how to ride a giant grasshopper when he was a child. I know that Barr is just telling Marko to get up and try again, but why not translate it anyway? But it was still a good read and Barr really did surprise me by not being this ruthless warrior that hated all wings with a passion and instead be a loving and caring grandfather to his halve wreath halve wing granddaughter. It made him stand out despite his dire situation. As far as volume 2 goes I say check it out after you read volume 1.

This is the one of the most interesting sequels I thought it turned out to be very adventurous, but otherwise epic and fantastic in a sci-fi world of Saga. Plus fanart taken from the previous volume at the back! Wonderfully recommended for those who made it through volume one.

This is a fantastic graphic novel series. I love the way each adult has a child that's important to them and it motivates everything they do. I can't wait to read the second one.

Also, the illustrations are stunning.

One of the better graphic novels I have read, this volume continues the tale (told in flashback) of the child of "alien" parents on the run from each of their respective species (who happen to be at war with one another). The tension mounts in this volume... check it out!

I love this series!! Such an awesome book - I literally could not wait until I got home; I read it in the parking lot at work.

This story didn't live up to the hype for me. It's definitely interesting, entertaining science fiction but I don't see it to be as groundbreaking as many seem to think it is.

Saga is awesome! A clever mix of humour and action and terrible terrible things. Many cliffhangers. Need more.
