Black's third gym battle is a difficulty since Tep has shown signs of evolution however White needs Black's Tep to stay the same size for continued photo shoots with the cute couple together. In the climax of the battle, Black disregards his own fears of how Tep may change and fight a valiant fight to gain the win. White sees Black choosing Tep and then evolves after winning to Pignite. Then Iris finds Bianca without her Litwick since it was stolen by Team Plasma. They find their secret HQ and fight Amoonguss. They succeed and gain back Litwick. Plasma's next move is the capture of Victini. Victini is chased for three days by Gothitelle and Black upon discovery saves it. After saving it, Black decides to leave it since he doesn't want to take the easy route to victory.
Black defeats Stoutland through sheer luck with Stoutland wasting health on his Take Downs. Then the Dragonite skeleton is stolen by Team Plasma with a Cofagrigus. It ends in defeat for Team Plasma. Meeting Burgh is awesome as we see his dilemma with no creativity. The janitor shows how come both Cinccino and Trubbish were perfect for him since they were two halves of a SWEEPING force to be reckoned with. Zorua was a funny part of the manga to end with to show the comedic side of Pokemon.
Black becomes the new assistant to White after demolishing the movie set fighting a Galvantula and catching it. Then on their travels they encounter Team Plasma and their ideals of liberating Pokemon from the clutches of mankind. Now with a burning hate, Black charges towards the direction of Plasma after seeing the aftereffects of Ghetsis's speech. What follows is an intense battle against a boy with the same ideals as Team Plasma, N. Black's team is being bombarded on all sides. N discovers Black's Pokedex saying the device is your reason to trap the innocent creatures in Pokeballs. It ends with the reveal of N being the king of Team Plasma through Ghetsis's words.
This is the second book on Pokemon trainer Black. He meets White, president of the BW Agency, and Team Plasma. He joins White, and they prevent Team Plasma from freeing people's Pokemon.
