I tried to read this years ago, but got bogged down in all the Russian names and relationships between the characters. It's considered a classic, and now I understand why. The themes that Tolstoy explores are universal. This dramatization is excellent and now I think I will be able to read the real novel without mixing up who is who!

Russian historical romance - good, but I'd already listened to it.
