Meh. Too many characters. All interchangeable. The premise of a children's storybook illustrator and a private investigator was fun. But nothing else was. The conversation was dull, except when the men were patronizing about the women, and then it was just annoying. I was disappointed.

A pleasant addition to the author's Knights Bridge series, this features a private investigator getting involved with a secretive children's author and illustrator.

Although usually a Neggers fan, this was disappointing. More a cobbled together listing of previous characters thinly disguised as a new novel.

Kylie's big secret - she's using a pseudonym to write children's books - drives her evasive behavior. As a plot device it simply does not make sense to me. What's the big deal?

Better to spend your time reading early Neggers and skip this one.

She the author brings out the best of her characters. A great book in the series not to be missed.
