Liked this book because all the birds were ones we could see in our own backyard. My 3 year-old and I picked out a few we would watch for this year. I agree that the illustrations don't work for every child, but my son enjoyed naming all the birds he knew.

My three-year-old wasn't very excited about this book. I enjoyed that the illustrations were pretty accurate depictions of actual birds and flowers that we can look for outside, though.
