As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

This book had an amazing story. But, I didn’t like how this book was designed as a play book rather then a typical novel. This sort of limited my understanding of the book as the author doesn’t really provide insights on their life. The story of the book was told in a play format containing only dialogues for each character. The story was nice and surprising as Harry has to deal with the losses and burdens of adulthood. But, personally I think that the script is missing the fully imagined, immersive amplitude of Ms. Rowling’s novels. But, she did a tremendous job of conjuring a story line in the world and remaining true to its characters and rules.

Be glad you didn't pay for this money grab. The play script format is distracting throughout. Long unexplained periods of time are frustrating. There is no flow to the story - just choppy scenarios. Glimmers of JK Rowling's brilliant ideas are there from time to time but not developed.

The best, and notably saddest, yet most heartwarming book I have ever dared to put my nose in.
