Take a journey through time and genres to discover stories where queer teens live, love and shape the world around them.

Seventeen young adult authors across the queer spectrum have come together to create a collection of beautifully written diverse historical fiction for teens.

From a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood set in war-torn 1870s Mexico featuring a transgender soldier, to two girls falling in love while mourning the death of Kurt Cobain, forbidden love in a sixteenth-century Spanish convent or an asexual girl discovering her identity amid the 1970s roller-disco scene, All Out tells a diverse range of stories across cultures, time periods and identities, shedding light on an area of history often ignored or forgotten.

"Readers searching for positive, nuanced, and authentic queer representation--or just a darn good selection of stories--need look no further than this superb collection."

Amazing bite sized stories that run the gamut from fluffy and funny to magical and mysterious. Also, a perfect choice if you love reading fanfiction!

This fantastic collection of short stories is very diverse with amazing writing. Characters are not just lesbian and gay, but bi, trans, genderqueer, and even gloriously unashamedly asexual. Like every short story collection, it had a few stories I didn't connect with as much, but overall, this is an outstanding addition to the canon of LGBTQ+ literature for young people. (The emphasis on #ownvoices authors really helps this particular anthology to shine out above the rest.)

Recommended strongly, especially for fans of historical fiction featuring gender and sexual minorities, like The Gentleman's Guide to Vice & Virtue or Silhouette of a Sparrow.

Such a strong short story compilation! Finding historical fiction featuring queer characters (and written by queer authors!) is tough to find, so I love that this exists and that it is so well put together. You also get some fantasy elements in a few of the stories. Read these!
