I can't believe you have only given this delightful book only 2 stars. Aside from the beautiful and descriptive writing, the story of the relationship between father and son is a joy to behold. Having spent my summers as a child at a ramshackle cottage on Morrison Lake in Muskoka, it took me back to days without running water and electricity and a father who loved to fish. Sadly he died at the age of 42 and I missed knowing him as an adult. This book has taught me the lessons I might have learned from my father and I thank Roy MacGregor for sharing his story with all of us.
