Joey is an energetic and imaginative third-grader who must take medication to keep his ADHD under control. He sometimes learns the hard way that it is not wise to stick his finger in a pencil sharpener or swallow the key to the house! Ages 6-12.

I love Joey Pigza! A great choice for diversity, humor, and realistic fiction readers.

Joey Pigza is the kind of character that seems too real to be fictional. He's a sweet kid who has a very hard time staying still and following rules. His story will make you laugh, cry, and think. The audiobook (narrated by the author Jack Gantos) is fantastic.

A good book for anyone dealing with ADHD but tugs at your heart. Not the humorous book I was expecting

As a teacher who has worked with students like Joey, I found this book very enlightening.
