I read this book quite some time ago. It was eye opening to realize what a physical demanding journey the Camino can be. Sometimes I find her past life stories a bit much for me, so I take them with a grain of salt. I enjoyed her journey otherwise.

Could not finish this terrible book of complete and utter fantasy. She told a complete lie when she said she was looking at the stars and saw Pleiades and Orion and it was June. Those cannot be seen in the Northern Hemisphere in summer so obviously the rest of story is nonsense too. What trash. Shame on you Maclaine!

I really liked this book, it is for the spiritual readers, as well as adventurers. I felt as if I went on the journey along side Shirley. It is intertwined with religion, spirituality, history, adventure, misticism. I found it very interesting. I will for sure read it again in the future.
