Lilly is the star of her school's play: she gets to play Gretel in "Hansel and Gretel." Her friend Kendall, who's playing Hansel, thinks Lilly is too tall to be a good Gretel. Her best friend Minna, who's playing the wicked witch, can sing beautifully but can't cackle at all.

Lilly cackles like a pro, and soon people are trying to convince Lilly and Minna to change roles. Lilly is reluctant to give up being the star, but when she's finally convinced, she steals the show.
