Brilliant storytelling. Rich universe. And just like in Game of Thrones, each chapter character delivers broader vision and something unique that we would not get from just few assigned or created players.

I had to do an Excel spreadsheet to keep up with all the characters in this book. Some of the characters just ended without tying them to why they were even mentioned. I ended up jumping through the book to continue the characters saga and then making notes to keep up with their stories. It was exhausting but I made it though.

Although this book has some interesting ideas, I found the overall writing and characters rather bland and not up to the book's aspirations as a grand space opera.

One of my favorite science fiction books and authors.

An amazing and absorbing novel that will keep you up several hours past your bedtime; the characters are incredibly believable, and surprisingly, so is the whole outer space plot.

It doesn't come off as too oddball or strange, even though at times it is. You end up believing this story wholeheartedly.

This is, for those of you that don't know or are just starting out this series, book 1 of 7 in the Saga of Seven Suns. Enjoy!

I give this a 10/10.
