Alice, a surgical intern, is definitely a flawed character, lacking tact and social graces. Lipman follows the progress of her “pursuit” by her social opposite Ray, who may or may not be trustworthy. This witty, enjoyable novel goes beyond “chick lit” with its keen insights and memorable characters.

Witty and laugh aloud story of a female intern who's complete lack of social graces makes her life more difficult than it needs to be. I'll read more by this author who has a deft way of handling descriptions and conversation. In other words, I'm enjoying this book a lot!

Another great little book by Lipman! Once again, Ms. Lipman is able to address sensitive topics with both humor and respect. The main character in this book is a medical intern who is probably autistic - trying very hard to fit in with others - not always quite getting it. This book was an easy, light read that was entertaining.
